Hear from this lovely young lady, Treasurer of Student Government at WATCH High School.

We rounded out the day with a mentorship lunch with Fed executives of color that you simply can’t put a price tag on. Kids had a chance to interact one-on-one with executives to understand their path and choice to work for this powerful institution.

It's been a exciting week for podcast, TWO BLACK GUYS WITH GOOD CREDIT, topping the charts again for Black History Month. The personal finance podcast is featured as one of the most important Business/Start-Ups podcasts on iTunes.

In 2016, born out of his charitable organization, Financially CLEAN, host Shaun Lynda, had an idea to create a podcast to extend his message of financial literacy beyond classroom.

TWO BLACK GUYS WITH GOOD CREDIT is a show about two guys from Canada living in the US for over 20 years (Arlington Forbes in Los Angeles and Shaun Lynda in Brooklyn). Both are business owners with successful track records and, of course, good credit! Each week they will bring you their ‘straight talk’ and at times humorous perspective on making, managing, and protecting your money.

While Shaun and Arlington go back and forth, co-host, Dionne Nicholls, keeps everyone on point as the Lady with the Facts. Dionne brings the numerical and historical perspective to the topics at hand. Whether it be about the history of bitcoin or how credit card reward points date back to the 19th century, Dionne, a former fashion executive turned social entrepreneur makes sure that we know our past so we can properly contextualize our present.

We take the guesswork out of finance to bring you a real perspective that is useful in our everyday. Each week we demystify the world of finance with our ‘straight-talk’, and often humorous perspective.....Two Black Guys with Good Credit puts the cool in financial literacy

Financially CLEAN Teaching Personal Branding 101, the 'A" in CLEAN Stands for 'Attention to Detail'

Dionne Nicholls, Program Director, former fashion executive turned social entrepreneur, was able to check off another milestone on Financially CLEAN's journey.  Last week, Dionne taught the 'Attention to Detail' the 'A' in the five pillars of CLEAN to students and their parents side by side at Chionesu Bakari's Young Men's Program. Chionesu Bakari takes young men out of their comfort zone and opens up their world perspectives, guiding their development to the leaders they were born to be.   Over 300 kids served to date.

Financially CLEAN is more than just a financial literacy program, it has a self-development component as well.  The soft skills that colleges and companies are looking for in potential students and employees or if you decide to strike out on your own are just as important and need to be taught in the classroom. With the advent of social media, to be competitive on must curate a personal brand online as well as offline to have a competitive edge.

Parents and kids had fun learning Personal Branding 101 and engaging in a Networking Role Play exercise.
